Hey guys, just a question. i want to buy a 200sx, but i think now i am going to look at buying a s15. what is the best model s15 to buy?

is it better to look at a jap spec or an aussie spec?

i know in the aussie spec the top of the range is the Spec R GT then Spec S GT then Spec R then Spec S.

in the JDM range whats the top of the range and so forth?

just so you know ALL aussie spec S15s have the same power output. the different models came down to trim levels. get a non GT IMO as the leather seats are ass and not worth the extra money that they seem to command.

yeah i spoke to my cousin just now cause he used to have a Spec R s15 and he said just go for a spec R cause the leather seats in the GT are rubbish. i want a sunroof etc so i am going to look at a Spec R aussie Spec.

if you want all the JDM goodies, you CAN find some with a sunroof. they are pretty rare, i only know of one from memory that ive seen.

if you think youre going to put in a roll cage or take the car to the track and wear a helmet, dont get a sunroof if youre over 5'8". you wont fit in with a helmet on with the sunroof there as you lose an inch or so of head room.

It's not that easy to find a car in very good condition. So I wouldn't really worry about the model rather than overal condition.

At least that's what I did. Ended up buying jap spec.

well i just want one for a daily driver/cruiser. i am not going to start doing any mods. everyone tells me i will blah blah blah but i swear i'm not. i just want to buy one standard from factory and maybe put a BOV on it thats it.

i'm 6'6" so i think im going to have trouble sitting it in let alone putting a helmet on for track days..lol

if you find a stock Aus spec S15 you will be very dissapointed with the amount of power it produces. its a bit of a slug stock standard.

You wont be keeping completely stock.
