good luck finding a good Spec R, very rare now adays, I was looking for one too, coz I want a sunroof, but I ended up with Spec S coz it had only 27k on odo with log book.

and if you are 6'6", and want a sunroof, make sure you got enough money for massage and get ready to have a hunchback :D

I had an atmo BOV in my car...
for a week...

The thing is soo annoying... Really, I installed it on Saturday and I took it of the Saturday after to replace it with GFB plumback item.

Plus the car was backfiring a lot too which wasn't very nice.

For the jap spec s15 check out Version One in Botany, I bought 2 previous cars from this guy.

if you find a stock Aus spec S15 you will be very dissapointed with the amount of power it produces. its a bit of a slug stock standard.

It's not that bad, I have had mine standard for 2.5 years

sunroof was a factory option. Not every jap spec s15 has it. The same applies to other optional features as aero kit, tv. Orange interior etc

there were HEAPS more options in the JDM models, hence why i own one now. i tried putting a few of those options on my AUDM years ago, but it got expensive..........

Make sure you sit in a S15 with a sunroof before you buy. They have bugger all headroom.

I sold my SpecR and got a SpecS because I did not fit and I'm only 6'1".

not this thread again .........

don't get a sunroof. the drain tubes get blocked eventually and then you get a free shower when you go round corners. That goes for any jap car. Plus as mentioned before you won't fit in.

As for power - once you put a FMIC and exhaust on it and get it tuned the differences mean bugger all. Do you really want a rear wiper and electric retractible mirrors ? (or whatever)

I looked at buying an import, wasn't interested in one built before March 2000 in the end got a late 02 model. Because Nissan started bringing them in around April 2000 you won't get an import newer than that. They are mostly 99s. which is now a 9 year old car.

Question,

Did the '99+ S15 JDM and ADM spec ever come with an SR20DE?
