Cheers TMB, I am quite happy with the way they are sitting on the car. They are a much better look than the previous set of wheels playing sunken battleships  :P.

I understand they won't be to everyone's tastes, however it's nice to have the arches somewhat filled.

where did you get the 10mm spacers i couldnt find any. Also if they were hubcentric spacers why did you need longer wheel studs. hubcentrics would bolt on your yout orginial studs which would have to be shaved down. to fit the wheel on.

Marshy,

I had the 10mm hubcentric spacers machined up by a local engineering firm on the coast here. They were made to suit the centerbore of the hub, inside of the wheel and the distance that the wheel needing to be moved from the caliper. They are a nice snug fit, center the wheel so it is not just the studs holding the wheels and there is not vibration exprienced at any speeds.

They are hubcentric but are not bolton, this was the reason I needed the longer wheel studs. I would have used 15mm boltons, however this would have sat the front wheels to far outside 'proud' of the guards.

I have attached a pic of an exact replica of the spacers, not mine, but very similar.

Thanks Dave, they turned out better than I had expected (width & offsets on rolled guards). Thanks again for the great deal :D !!!

nice, if you dont mind me asking how much did they set you back as i got the same wheels as you on an S15 and had the same problem, i went the 15mm boltons they do stick a little of of the guards, i couldnt find 10mm hubcentrics at all.

i might be interested in getting the 10mm's made up and getting the extended wheel studs.

They were'nt cheap at $175, then you have the cost of the extended wheel studs. Hell, bolt-ons can be bought for less than just the pair of spacers. However, the position I was in, I was unable to use even the smallest bolt-ons of 15mm I could find, as this would have sat my fronts to far out of the guards and there was no way I would consider 'floating spacers', but that is just personal preference.

I rang around Sydney, the best price I got for custom hubcentrics was a quote of $90 for a pair of hubcentrics machined to any size I needed from BSA in Stanley St. Peakhurst. I would give them a call if your interested. The reason I didn't use them was it was more convient for me, be it that I am on the Central Coast.

Cheers,
Grant

No problems, in my case they were the best option and worth the extra dollars. However, when installing the spacers, I would advise using some form of 'Anti-seize' between the brake rotor -> spacer & the lip of the hubcentric spacer -> inside of the wheel.

If machined to the correct measurements, the spacer will be quite a snug fit over the both hub and inside of the wheel. It will make it easier to remove the spacer come to remove the wheel.

The anti-seize can be purchased from almost any autoshop. It's worth the small expense.
