What benefits will i gain if I Swap my oringinal COmputer with a Jap Spec one, and will it be worth the trouble?

Any other mods i have to consider if i do decide to swap?
OR
Will it be easier to get the oringinal remapped to Jap Spec?

I know it's alot of questions, but I'm planning on doing my mods right cause I'm new to the Turbo Scene

Infact I'm new to The "Cars with ECU" scene, My last car being a 72 Beetle that kicked most NA Cars in a line up    (it's for sale by the way if anyone interested)

Jap spec.. dunno if that's a good idea..
their comps are tuned for their enviroment [damn my spellin is bad ehaheahe]..
They have different fuel for starters..
Then from wat I've been told they Jap Spec S15 have bigger injectors as well...
I can't think of wat else atm..... but they're just a few reason why I wouldn't bother...
plus ain't the 180km/h speed limiter in the ECU?

If you want to replace the ECU to get the 184KW the Jap spec cars produce there are cheaper ways of doing it. A good exhaust and air filter set up will produce that sort of output without ECU changes.

The crank shaft position sensor wiring is different
The fuel pump relay wiring setup is also different.

I have a JDM S15, I drove around for about 5 months with a full exhaust, apexi intake, and no pinging, detonation or otherwise fueling problems.

Personally I think the first things you should do are:

- Get your damn alarm :P
- Exhaust from turbo back etc, make sure its a good one as they are worth the money
- Pod filter with cold air induction
- Then front mount etc
- Suspension :)
