ok,
Those damn little bugs and tree sap are real pissing me off now.

I have some sort of sap that has come of the tree at work and I just cant get it off, if I try I end up scratching the paint.

I had the car paint protected , but that has been of little help.

Any suggestions????

Yeah i had that problem with my car...had it on two places.
one on bonnet and other on the front quarter panel......
basically try to get as much of it off with your hands...ie use finger nails.
and just keep cleaning the car....if you wash ya car once a week like me it should be gone in about 6 weeks.....
With the bugs......eh you just gotta clean ya car regulary....
apparently you should clean it once every 3 days.....but who can be
f$%kd to do that ?

just make sure you clean ALL the little bits of steel wool off the car, cos as soon as it sits overnight or gets a tiny bit damp all the tiny pieces rust and stain the paint. I've seen a new paint job killed like that :o

do not use steel wool. no no. try and get as much of it off as u can. ( with a razor blade, but not touching the paint at all!! )
then get a nappy rag and wet polish. if this fails get a soft compound G10, dabble a bit on 2 where u want 2 get the sap etc off. and should rub off.
give the area a quik polish after 2 get it totally smoth.
if that fails. go 2 a detailer and get them 2 buff the section for u. if will probably cost u around $20. good luk
if anyone else ever wants any detailing advice. email me.. :D ifiruledtheworld_@hotmail.com

Hi silviaturbo,

Thanks for the tip.

I took my car to ........ (wont mention name yet, as I first want to check he fixes the problem before I name him) and showed him the sap.

He went to put detergent on it , buit accidently put Kero on it.
He then used a ball of stuff that looked like putty and rubbed it off. Well it got most of it off, however the paint has now faded around the area to a white dull colour, and of course my car is black!!!!!!!!

Not happy at all!!! Im taking it back on Thursday, so he better fix it!!!
