I recently had a cat back 3 inch mandrel bent system put on my car. I didnt want it too loud so I had a resonator and twin tip muffler fitted. I think it sounds great and is not too loud.

I am now thinking of doing the dump pipe (and front pipe in one piece). My question is will this make the exhaust louder? Has anyone on the forum done the cat back system first and later on done the rest of the exhaust? If so what was the sound difference if any?

louder than what you have now, but its a great sound! its not as loud as a gtr 3" system(hahah)

if it is too loud, (having a complete system) its not worth having if your gonna stuff it full of resonaters and baffles.

thats the offset, increased sound-more power, personally I cant understand those who want the most power out of an exhaust with no sound difference.

I had a 3" cat back system until about a week ago... was pretty loud with no resonator and a straight through 3" inch muffler.

Just got the dump pipe and 3" piping to the cat plus got the cat gutted. I have not noticed any huge change in the sound... except that the dump is a screamer but the actual sound at the exhaust tip seems the same.

got a cat back system with a resonator.
its pretty loud.
after the 3" highflow cat and a onepice dump and front pipe.
its only a tiny little bit DEEPER in sound.. but didn't really get louder

so GO for it...
