alright i got my n/a silvia and i keep reading that they should run 0-100km in about 8.5 to 9 seconds? now i know that mods dont do a heap to n/a cars but i would think that my 2.5" all the way + hks air etc would gimmi a little faster then 10 flat. I'm pretty sure its not my driving and i'm shifting at about 7k! Anyone got any (cheaper) ideas to give me that extra power?
Cheers,
- alan.

p.s. while i'm talking, anyone else find that its a b**** to shift into second gear in the mornings?

wouldn't think so, but every time I've seen people time 0-100s with a stopwatch it's pretty far off... I tried it a couple of times and got close to 10 seconds I think.. Now I have a proper 1/4 mile timer, so I'll have to find a decent bit of road to test it on :>

smart ass! i dunno, it would make killing myself way to easy putting a turbo in... i think running 0-100 in 10seconds is pretty good for a first car anyway.

Make sure you run hi octane petrol like optimax and make think about putting some cold air induction if you have'nt already.
Depending on how much you want to spend.
You can get a crank pully kit.
Swap the water pump with one that does not take so much power from the motor.
Disconnect air con if you have it.
All these things won't give you any huge increase but after a while the more you have, they all add up.
I have also found that if you car feels like it is faster but not really faster it makes the driver happier driving the car.
