Cheers dude, hopefully I'll have it soon, I've ran out of stuff to do, once I get it switched I can clean up the water n rust for the last time & paint the interior then buy the last few things I need to get it on the track.

lol I considered it, would erase the problem of getting overheated while on the track.

I brought a piece of sheetmetal to seal off my boot from the cabin (I want to get into CAMS racing once I get some track time under my belt so figured its best to follow their guidelines from the start) anywho I'm not sure exactly what metal it is but while attempting to drill it in I lost 2 HSS drill bits and didn't even put a hole into the f**king metal :x so I decided to let it go and get a mate of mine to weld it in for me when he does the roof.
Seems that things enjoy being difficult with this car.

you don't need to seal off the boot area, just seal off the fuel system from the cabin. 180's would be screwed otherwise...

So if you have the stock tank and in tank pump you are fine.

Even if you have an external pump and surge tank in the boot you only need to make a box to cover it and any fuel lines until they go back through the floor.

If you have a fuel cell in the boot then different story.

Fair enough, lucky the metal only cost me $10, I've been recently toying with the idea of buying a fuel cell but I'm still up in the air about whether I should buy one or not.

I was thinking about one too. I'm still trying to decide as 1) it removes weight, but 2) it removes weight from the end thats already the lightest and stuffs up weight distribution further....

Yeah that's my problem as well, there's not really alot more weight I can take out of the front, I've already switched the front fenders to frp and besides switching to a lightweight front bar the only other thing I can really think of is getting lightweight pulleys but they don't really seem to be worth the money.

Have you removed the front bar reo, or at least made an alloy replacement?

The lightest front bar is probably a stocker with all the foam and shit removed

Front & Rear reo's are gone, I took the back one off by contorting my arm round the rear bar to get to the nuts only to find if I undid the 4 bolts in the boot it would of come out easier.. not a happy camper after figuring that out

Anywho I also removed the foam from the front bar so it's empty and it is quite light, I think I've done all I can to the car at the moment, the interior still needs to be sprayed but I can't do anything until Nissan gives me the new roof cause everytime it rains the interior gets showered and I get surface rust patches everywhere.

So.... After nearly 7 months of waiting, Nissan Penrith kindly informs me that Nissan Australia finally got back to him telling him that Japan NO LONGER makes roof panels and no substitue part is available, therefore bad luck sir no roof for you.

As a final kick in the guts when I'm down, due to it being ordered when Nissan Penrith when they were in recievership (which I wasn't aware of), I have to ring someone I haven't heard of, explain my situation to him and IF i'm lucky he'll refund my money.... Not happy, I don't intend on losing $791 without a long fight.

After 9 months of searching I've FINALLY found a roof that I can cut off another car and have welded onto mine which shall be done early next year, Now all that's left is to go to Dept of Fair Trading and complain bout Nissan not giving me back my money. Fun times ahead.

Finally got the dollars to buy myself a 2871 turbo but unfortunatly it didn't come with water or oil lines. I know it's a long shot, but will the t25 lines line up alright or do I need to buy some?

In the long run, you will regret not buying braided lines. Even if the metal ones fit, braided ones make installing and removing the turbo a million times easier.
Also factory metal ones have a tendency to crack, especially if you have installed and removed the turbo a few times.
