Luis moved across the road. His new workshop is bigger than the old one

another minor update, probably the last before the tune:

Ex fuel pump and surge tank mounted and wired, fuel lines to be finished
dump and front pipe welded up (still some work to do under the car)
Gate pipe temporarily done (currently venting to atmo)
EBC wired up

I have a wedding today so no work

Fingers crossed 99% of stuff will be finished tomorrow

+1 for gate venting to atmo. sounds good and all but the novelty of it wears off and then you plumb it up!

Yeah, i had always planned to plumb it up as being a track car it'll be venting 90% of the time and that shit will become annoying very quickly.

Unfortunately due to time issues i had to make the call to just get a pipe on there to get me to the dyno and first track day. I can plumb it in down the track when i have a bit more time.

The good news is that the exhaust is all welded up and fuel system is complete. Need to paint the exhaust and do some wrapping, install it, top up the coolant and it'll be ready to start.

You could hear it on the skyline when it had a loud exhaust.

It was less obvious when the big rear muffler went back on.

oh ok, well some noise is good.

have you installed either pineapples or solid subframe mounts? if so, notice any difference (pros & cons) ?

car already had solid subframe mounts.

They make the rear end feel much more solid and accurate.

dunno, was too late to let it run and check stuff so was happy to get it to fire and blip the throttle a couple of times

edit: Final engine bay pic, missing a few mounts on the radiator and oil cooler and the exhaust isn't on in this pic but everything else is there.

Congrats Dave, you must be itching to get out there now. When's the dyno tune planned for? Are you having it tuned at Unigroup?

dyno later this week, I'm dropping it off on Wednesday evening and picking up Saturday.

And the funny thing is that it still sounded like an NA....
