Hello Kitty will do a mid 7 with new tyres.

I'm happy to prove it, but you'll have to provide the tyres :)

Just don't go changing things and making it slower before then!

It's getting flares, more offset, a bit more weight pulled out of it and some interior tidying up before it sees the track in november.

And tyres :)

Nothing else will be changed.

I think you'd be best off just putting tyres on and running it as is to begin with.

Changing offset and stuff is likely to affect things a bit, and you're best off driving it in a known good configuration first so you can see what works for you and what doesn't - then adjust it from there.

I'm worried that 235 semis on the current wheels will have clearance issues.

I don't want to get caught out so i'm addressing it straight away.

While i'm at it i'll probably run the 17x9 +25 sterns with 20mm bolt ons. So worst case i just remove the bolt ons.

What springs are in it btw? it seems to be pretty stiff already.

fronts are unknown aftermarket ones that I found by experimentation.
Rears are the ones that came with the Bilsteins.

They're fairly stiff, but the car handles bumps and ripple strips really well.
It doesn't body roll much at all, which is why I kept the standard swaybars in.
My next planned mod was to put urethane bushes in the swaybars, to tighten up their response without adding extra overall stiffness.

You'd have to spend fairly massive dollars to dramatically improve the suspension, but it wouldn't hurt to go through and replace the remaining factory bushes in the rear end, and the front control arm bushes. (it already has alloy subframe collars, and the front has rack bushes, steering arms, castor rods, camber tops, and an alloy steering spacer)
I tried to replace the control arm bushes but it turns out the S15 ones are different to S13, and I never chased up another set.

Just remembered the rear Bilsteins were modified too, now running some Cusco strut tops with urethane bushes because the original pillow ball ones wore out.

no rb25

a few progress photos:

Trial fit of flares, wheels are 17x9 +25 with a 25mm spacer. Rears look a bit under done but it has potential

And a work in progress shot of the new cluster

And for shits and giggles. no flares

Flares are the new wide guards :P

flares FTW. I'm fitting +30mm frp flares to the back of my 86. they just cover the -14 offset 15x8's...

you'll be chopping out the original arch underneath them I suppose?

Yeah, there will have to be a fair bit of metal removed or i'll just be destroying tyres.

The flares are something like +50 front +60 rear (per side). They were the smallest i could find. There were s13 specific ones available at +100 per corner.....
