I wonder how you guys dyno tune the car right after rebuild, isn't it supposed to be driven easily for 500km or so?

Its a stock bottom end dude. No rebuilding was done here

There is alot of debate though on how to properly run in an engine. Old school thought was a couple thousand kms with varying load but with track-only cars you don't get that opportunity. I think they give it a few hours on the dyno at varying loads, then start flogging the hell out of it

Fuck off 1:06! I'll have to figure out how to drive it again.

Cage is getting serious consideration atm.

I reckon you car needs a roll cage purely from a safety perspective. With the power and corner speed the car will have, safety should become a priority.

I just fitted a Bonds 6 point roll cage in my car and I am glad I did.

Will be interesting to see how the car puts the power down now as 20psi at 3600rpm is ridiculously responsive.

The car should be capable of 1:06 but not until you get used to it which may take 2 sessions or 2 days!

Its a bolt in cage.

Not entirely happy with how we fitted the front leg on the drivers side. Could have sat a little further out.

Will upload some pics.

great result there Dave :)

is the stock bottom end going to be able to cope with that much power?

Not for very long.

It'll rarely get run at 21psi on the track. Probably around 16psi which is a bit softer through the midrange and only makes 270

That seems like more of a sweet spot. 5psi more boost for 15 wheel kW doesn't seem like a good deal..

There's actually a massive difference in the midrange with 21 psi on board. Just up top it drops back a bit.

I don't mind how the back of the cage looks but the bolt in front legs don't do it for me the way they come in front of the dash.

I might have a chat with bond and see if they'll supply a set of weld in front legs that i could work with or something.
