Thats good to hear. What did it cost you?

I just pulled my original wing off my boot to fit a big ass GT wing. Wouldnt mind a lighter boot to put it on

These boots definately won't support a wing.

They cost us ~300 each

You could always build a frame in the boot that meets up with the bootlid to bolt the wing on. DumHed raved about how much difference his wing made. I guess the only real hassle is that your battery is probably in the boot, so your bootlid needs to be able to be opened quickly... And unless you've got an AC TIG that I don't know about, the frame for the wing would probably weigh more than a standard bootlid... Goddamnit.

Dumhed raved about alot of things.

At this stage I haven't relocated the battery. That probably will happen after the upcoming trackday. I'd like to find out the weight distribution first to decide on the best place for the battery

Do you know anyone who has a set? We could just buy 4 sets of bathroom scales designed for use by morbidly obese units...

The wing I have weighs 7kg all up.

Think I will just stick with the standard one. Would rather invest in other things than a boot for now.

Whens your next track day?

the physical weight of the wing is only part of it. the boot has to hold it up,plus the extra weight downforce puts on it. a decent GT wing can add around 60kg to the rear end...

A wing isn't the answer then. That will only help in high speed sweepers.

suspension setup and/or tyres and throttle control are what you need.

The wing is just another thing to cross off the list - I am not expecting it to solve my problem, although I do expect it to help a bit!

Tyres are 235/45/17 RE 55's.

It has nearly all suspension mods but I think there are a few things I can do to help it. Going to replace the cut/hacked subframe bushes with the noltec replacements I bought. I am going to run more rear camber, currently 1.5, will go 2.5 at the rear and 3.5 up front. That is if I get a chance to get it wheel aligned.

We are going to Wakefield next Saturday 20th Sept so will see how it goes!

I'm running around 4 deg front and 2.2 deg rear at the moment.

I suspect that the 20th will be mega-busy being a weekend

I just had a look at the times from Saturday. You've almost passed your PB in the Sil80 already! Nice.

Any concerns? Anything letting it down? (Besides the pilot :P )

Did I notice that Dave also had a steer?
