try a new router/modem

my old modem/router combo would make the modem reboot when i went to myspace.com. no word of a lie!

then the lightening got it and fixed it for me so i was forced to buy a new one. thats a true story too!

maybe something electrical has stuffed yours up???

I'm not sure. But I did change rooms and had to like re-wire the outlet. Don't know if that might be the problem..

Well I cant change ISP's without my mum's permission. So it doesn't matter.

EDIT: Rang Optus, they said nothing was wrong with my line or anything. Although they did recommend buying a stronger filter for my phone as that's what may be causing my internet disconnections. They had no clue as to why I can't access a handful of certain websites. Any ideas now?

wtf is a STRONGER filter?? lol

try disconnecting all your phone and see if the problem still exists, then try another modem etc. also try different filters, but first remove EVERYTHING that uses the phone except the modem/router. then connect things one by one and see if the problem starts when you connect one of the phones/devices in

Stronger= Stronger than what they issued me.

I did the phone thing. I left the phone out but the modem in, and it still didn't work!! Only have 2 things that use the phone. I am going to lose the plot soon.

Tested my CS dedicated server and I noticed my servers ip was 10.1.1.x:27015. That's not normal. Also still got the website thing going on. Disabled all that uPnP crap or whatever.

10.1.1.x sounds like a DHCP address from your router/modem

its probably normal, make sure you have full-bridge turned on on your modem (seimens) and double check to make sure you have the ports forwarded on your router
