Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are ? Anyone here actually play it.

My brother and I have been massive Warcraft fans so i thought i would take out a subscription - so far its been an alright experience just trying to keep a balance with a social life etc etc. Some people are on 24-7 which is worrying...

It's alright, just ensure you know how to keep your priorities and social life in check... playing it socially is fine too, just know your characters won't be the best of the best on the server you choose to play on due to social playing, and if not being in the best of the best gear is something you can't go without having.. i wouldn't recommend playing it...

Yeah I play once in a while.

Go for private servers. As Hero said keep everything else in check. You might not notice it but it sucks you in.

I have a mate, that I use to be close to, until I moved out. I was told last night he's playing WoW 24/7 and is heavily knocked up on anti depresents because of this.

Going to suprise visit him today.

You know some kid in China killed himself after playing for 36 hours straight i think it was. Jumped off the 23rd storey because he wanted to be with the WoW Gods. =\

Private servers FTL..... full of hacks etc. Why bother? unless you go for that sort of thing....

I play on Caelestraz (horde). Been doing lots of raiding lately. WoTLK should be out in a few months so I want to be nicely geared in time for it.

Not really. They are very strict on hackers. IP ban ftw. Its like normal WoW Servers.

I think he's referring to most of the ' hacked ' or bullshit gear they allow you to attain on the private servers... i played on the Shoupz Priv. server for a bit before just testing out different talent specs in the gear i currently had (save the 50g respecs endlessly on my realm) due to not being happy with the diff destro pvp or sl specs i had previously. I remember having their ' t8/t9 custom gear ' on that server for shits n giggles, being able to completely solo all of kara with about 50k hp whilst dual wielding 2H axes taking trash mobs health down by around about 15% per hit... not hax at all =)

I'm on Frostmourne Allaince and am currently raiding still. We're at 7/9 BT with everything else on easy farm. Should be at Illidan this arvo =)

I'm a 498 Resil Lock / T5/6 PVE. My gnomie Prot war is on his way too, mix of t4/t5, hopefully able to take him to MH / Some BT soon to get some more pimp gear.

yer as everyone is saying you need to keep the balance - i personally don't feel the need to be on it 24-7 would prefer to be down at the pub having some brews with some mates . But no doubt the massive online experience is also quite fun

Probably will be over in about 2-3 months lol like everything.
