Just seen and add on tv for whats going to be on a current affair, pretty sure for tonight.

They are showing cars getting crushed in Australia.

I've been away for 2.5 weeks, have I missed something?

there's been talk about the authorities confiscating and then crushing street racer's cars for a while now,but I'm not sure if it is actually policy now,or still just a proposal.

its harddly even a proposal. it was introduced over i the states, CA i think was the state.

local media got their hands on this footage and this itroduction and started spreading it all over the media, once it was in the media, govt. spokespersons commentd it on it, tied a link to it from the whole "p platers kill" mindset.

as far as i know thats all thats happened. and it has remained just talk. if it were to come in as legislation, there would be a lot more realistic takl on forums and in some media outlets rather than unsubstantiated current affairs bullshit.

...sorry...i just hate current affairs programs :)

They crush cars overseas but there are still rules that govern it.. like if its your first offence they not going to crush it, they will impound it but while under impound if they find that anything on your car is stolen and you can not show evidence for it they will destroy your car..

you still have the chance to take it to court and have it reviewed but if you lose, your car will get crushed... if not like every person who gets caught street racing automatically gets their car crushed.

Watched it last night, what a crock of shit.
US footage of civics (amongst others) getting crushed.
Then re-used footage from the old hoons story of middle eastern youth abusing the cops and doing burnouts, the old news story reel from the 2 commodores who crashed into the old couple on great western hwy, then what looked like new footage of an Echo or Swift or some gay hairdresser car getting loaded on a tilt tray cause it had been racing.. There was also old footage of a white 180sx getting loaded on a tilt tray also.

Actually, just found it on youtube:

I love how ACA always interviews the lowest common denominator of any culture or community, really gives you the unbiased and fair view that they strive for

That segment made me furious that our hobby is represented by such cock heads. Absolutely no brains, no responsibility, not even the common sense to keep their dumbass mouth shut. No wonder people want them off the roads, I do too. Fucking morons.

Im sad to say unfortunately he's one of my countrymen but he is a disgrace...

Guys please dont go street racing, its pointless. If you wanna race to to the track keep it off the street please.
