Yes it is. They government are saying that we need it to save the children, but it is their method of creating another avenue of censorship

Oh like building lego. That's the best. God I miss those days. And K'nex! They were awesome!

I have a shitload of lego trains.. The old stuff with the plastic rails and metal power rail through the middle. Also have a stack of technics. That stuff is the best ever!

I hate how everything nowadays is custom parts; Nosecone = one piece.. side canards? one piece...

Back in the day, they were all just standard blocks made to resemble the part.

the current lego is not true lego.
if it doesn't have the connecting circle on top of the block,it doesn't qualify as lego.

the current stuff has way too much emphasis placed on the look of the finished toy, than on the construction process or usefullness of the parts for other projects like the old kits did.
one example: I used bits from the porsche chassis and the snowplane to build an apache. it ran twin motors through a diff to the main rotor, the tail rotor was geared down, and the main rotor blades had adjustable collective angles. you could switch one motor off and the rotors would still turn.

try building any of that with your tie fighter and castles kits! you'd be lucky if 70% of the parts in those are good for anything else than what they came as.

the main reason lego was so sucessful back in the day was that a basic collection allowed you to make pretty much anything. five kits could have a hundred different options for things to build from them. the current stuff, you buy five kits, you have five options. it's crap.

my mum used to buy my lego direct from factory at wholesale prices... 8)

had massive lego train set, boats with motors, all sorts of shiz...

best fun was putting the boat hull on a train chassis, and then a massive dual story house with interior lights on the train chassis, cranking the speed and watching it de-rail

Yeah I still got my little lego men from back in the day. Had mad fun just putting random stuff together and hoping for the best lol. How times have changed.

Oh well, in other news I bought GTA, no id nothing. Which was odd. Not enough money left over for WaW sadly..

FFS. GTA doesn't work at all. Going back to return it and get WaW.
