We have optus cable at home and we are using one of the Motorola surfboard cable modems. The Ethernet port on the back for sometime has been broken so we have connecting through USB, my delima now is i cant get onto the net with my PS3 :evil:

Anyone know where i can buy another Cable modem, or have one (that is working) lying around that i can buy ? looked around on some websites online and no-one seems to have any cable modems... :-?

Eyy man,
Yea im on optus cable, and i have a spare modem, its oldschool though, only 10mbit, not 15 on the surfboards.

Its LAN too.
You can borrow if ya want, msg me or something, ill pop by this afternoon.

i just upgraded the internet at home... i have a spare D-LINK adsl modem at home... model number is = DSL-200
i dont know much about modems and internets... but the info on the box is - 8Mbps download speed
- high speed blah blah
- auto install hmmmm
we were connected with dodo aswell if that helps
also it was in perfect working condition we just wanted adsl2 abit faster...
well if thats what u were looking for p.m me and make an offer, otherwise i will put it back in the closet

Where abouts in bella?

Its some german brand, deff works on optus, hasnt been chipped or flashed as i know of.

i have an almost new motorola surfboard 8300 (i think) supports docsis2

if you come to my house and bring some alcohol, you can have it

andy, adsl isnt the same as cable so its not compatible.
