Has anyone here ordered a 1080 High Def Bravia and claimed the free PS3 ?
Ive ordered mine, waiting on the courier to drop it off, but i have just been told that it will be delayed until the end of the week :S what is actually involved in the claim process and is it quick ? One of the guys at Dick Smith said i have to send in a code off the actual box and all this other crap ! i have until Monday midday will i make it ??

i've done it. Still waiting for my ps3 to turn up.

You have to cut the original serial number off the box, get a copy of your proof of purchase and the code off the rego page on the web site and send it in.

You have until early feb to get it to them. more details on the sony website

I should probably chase them one day soon as they should have received my stuff by now. I don't want to get caught out by them saying they haven't got it after the closing date

oh so they have extended the date i couldn't find anything on the site but i just done a quick browse. How long have you been waiting mate ?

a few weeks. It's supposed to be around 28 days turn around.

It's for puchases before 31/1. You actually need to get the shit into them by 10th March. If you've already bought it and your receipt is dated accordingly then you have no problem.

Oh ok, I've ordered but i haven't paid yet, so i will do that tomorrow night then and register. I was under the impression that i had to send in my claim by the end of this month for it to be valid.

I got one on the 29th and sent the PS3 thing off the next day and got the post office pick up thing in the mail today

My dad bought the same TV in the first week of Jan, did the online registration and called up sony this week and they say they've been flooded with claims and say that they have yet to get the mail yet I hope they're not pulling a dodgy to not send off a PS3....

That was my concern, but due to the pretty long period that we have for getting the claim in after purchase, it gives you a lot of time to follow up and not be caught out by them being bastards. Plus the online registration works in your favour aswell

Latest update !!

The LCD will be delivered to my house tomorrow afternoon paying for it tomorrow during the day YAY. Next question is does the Bravia and/or PS3 come with HDMI cables or do i have to buy them ?
