It sounds like every crash involving "P" plates are because of *street racing*???

what ever happen to that truckie that killed that poor "P" plater changing the wheel on his supra???

or did they turn it into "he was street racing when his tyre exploded on him, thats when he changed the tyre and got hit by a truck"???

kinda sad and what really gets to me is that most cars caught street racing isnt even a Import its more likely to be a commodore etc etc..

hehe well said :)

It's pretty obvious what happened here, they were braking so hard their tyres exploded.

Funny how there are so many stories getting around...I heard it was a blue S14a on another car forum :-?

The only reason that street racing has been mentioned is because 'witnesses' described to the police that the young driver was speeding and "appeared to be racing a utility at the time". (I read that on some SMH article this morning)

I just find it funny that witnesses always see two cars going to same speed limit but will instantly label it as a street race. How do they know 100% that these cars WERE street racing, or is it merely their own opinions based on the fact that the media spoon feeds us with the notion that young driver + performance car/import = street racing hoon ?

I'm not saying that this guy isn't guilty, and if he is, by all means he deserves to be charged accordingly...but how dare the media jump on the bandwagon when its only speculation at this stage that they were street racing!

I saw the aftermath of this accident on my way to Bon Jovi last night.

It was a really dark blue S13 with some chrome rims, P plate. from where I was and given the news article about it, it looks like the P plater may have tried to avoid the oncoming car but didnt make it, bounced off the ladies car and into the others.

It definitely was not a pretty sight, at least 5 smashed cars. it looked to have been relatively cleaned up by the time I got there, no ambos or anything, just cops talking to people and the wrecks in the middle of the road.

All I can say is I hope that kid has insurance or hes going to be in debt for quite some time. So many cars damaged :(

and yeah, first post, hopefully Ill have a 180 in the next few weeks :)

for sure,as that's how my last S14 was destroyed. old woman pulled out from a give way sign without looking to her right first...I went head first into her driver's door, didn't have anywhere else to go with only 5m notice...

When i first saw the footage i thought it was my old silvia. Then part of the number plate popped up and it wasn't it.

how interesting :P

Fuckthem, Only the people involved in the accident know what happened.

Since a high performance vehicle was involved , they will obviously look into if that was the cause, they will obviously look into it , if it was the cause becuase it was sporting P plates. Heck do we even know if it was Turbo?
