Jeez, so anyway im up near the nsw border in a little town called Lurieton, very small beachy town. I come in with my car and every ones ooking at it. park at local shopping centre and theres a small little crowd gathering near it . like wtf. In this town theres a local police station. I drive past it one day and a cop outside gives me a dirty stare!! Some bogan L plater nearly hits my car!!

The Good stuff is, the deserted gravel roads that go for kms on end to no where.
A few km outside town theres an old abondoned go kart track, like its open and no ones there, Im very tempted to go there. But i've been told by some locals that the cops love snooping around the entrance catching cars.

you turn up to a small country town in a noisy jap grey import and are surprised that people would look at it?

they're not so common a car that they're everywhere, you do realise that right?
cruise into a small town in a gaggle of thirty+ silvias and skylines like I've done in the past and see how much attention that draws.

I'd suggest you leave the go-kart track alone as well. it sounds a bit too risky to me. particularly if it's only got one entrance.

Justin...

Like that scene in Mad Max but minus the gayness. Gotta love it. 8)

Ha ha... Made me laugh... same thing happened to me on the weekend. I went to Avoca Beach on the central coast and everyone was like "ZOMG" staring at my car... I even turned the music down and tried not to draw attention to mysef but everyone was staring and trying to talk to me... Felt weird to be the centre of attention :o

Thats just what happens in small towns...as Justin said you turn up in a noisy car, you're gonna be the centre of attention weather you want to or not... And its best not to do the wrong thing to bring negative attention :)

Funniest we've had was in Orbost when dumhed got his "get the f... out of town ticket" and we were watched/followed by the cops (or a private investigator at the request of the cops) the whole time we were there.

My dad works in Laurieton, I used to drive my S13 through there a couple of times and never got any hassle or attention... cept maybe that time I went nuts doing a sorta 'spirited' hill climb up to the lookout and scared the f*ck out of quite a few people... yours isn't black is it?

 I remember that one.

I also remember one where every cop from Cooma in NSW to Bairnsdale in Vic and all points East were on the look out for, and kept harassing, six hoons in sports cars.

Down at Laurieton Motors as a mechanic, he's just idling away the time with something to do until he retires in the next whenever years. The Oxley highway run up to Walcha from Wauchope is probably my (and every bastard with a bike it seems) favourite run up into the mountains, though down on the flats the coppers tend to be about with speed traps. After that it's generally clear aside from dickheads in 4wds and the odd bikey on a slow Harley.
Next christmas I should take the red barge up there and see how it goes for a laugh.
