Pro Street is just alot harder to play than the previous versions of NFS... every other NFS game pissed me off due to it's EXTREMELY easy to drive/drift setup... the previous versions ideas of 'drifting' was approach corners doing around 150km/h, gear down and turn whilst flooring/feathering the accelerator, that's all you had to do to maintain a perfect drift in which you could connect an entire course with a single drift... 1 course, 1 drift..

Thus, i hate previous versions of NFS which have 'Drift' modes and so far am glad that this version is alot harder to control (getting easier n easier though as ya get use to how to control them) and this one also has a clutch to screw with =)

Oh, how pursuit was alot of fun, especially when you could use cheats, and when you'd give the cop a little nudge, they just go flying :D , but the pink slip feature was really good

Play these games with a logitech g25 steering wheel, its so much fun.

Played it at phu's place, we even made a custom bench for the wheel, shifter and foot paddles.

I'm getting my g25 soon, just won it on ebay. hahaha

I agree, with a g25 games are alot more fun, possibly not just the G25 only, but with the 6 speed H shifter and the clutch, awesome...

the NFS genre is generally not as realistic as you would think, If you've noticed in te underground titles the physics of the car change when you do drift events, same for Most wanted, Carbon and Pro street is like no other. There is no game out that could be as realistic as the real thing. Live for speed is generally percieved by most as a driving simulator. There's a difference between saw a simulation and an arcade/off the face racing game.

In Live for speed, adjusting camber, tire pressure etc can effect your driving it's principal is based on a tyre and grip simulation where everything is live , nothing is preset, while in Pro street, settings are based on pre configured models , and what ever surface in pro street you drive on it'll feel the same.

Pro street is for fun
if anything Live for speed and a g25 wheel is still one of the best driving experiences you can get closest to the real thing.

my 2 cents >.<

I was very close to buying it,
even though I despise the NFS series ever since NFS: SE on the PC, I still for some unknown reason picked most of them up..

must be the high production blow off valve sounds.. hah..

anyway I think I will give this a miss, no free roam?? pfft.

its not like you buy it for a simulator.
its still an arcade style game at heart.
its alot of fun. but drift mode sucks teh wang.
I did find that the game was alot better once you turn all the assists off which are still on even if you choose the pro mode.
