there are a series of these videos with clive owen, ive got them all on my pc. They are pretty cool, apparently he did some of the driving.

It was a promotion piece.

BMW basically made the cars, technical crews, and other support available to actors and directors. They gave them carte blanche to make any sort of car-related short film they felt like.

I loved Star. The other ones were kind of average, with the driving nowhere near as good in terms of the driving.

Mind you, even Star was a bit pussy on the driving. Did you notice how, even with the "dynamic" movements by the camera at the tacho, they were only shifting it half way through the rev range?

yeah these are a blast from the past. theres a series of them all directed by big names! theres a really nice one by Ang Lee with a Z4 and Don Cheadle! it gets shot at by a helicopter...
