So you don't think my car will be done anytime soon and that's why you want to call me usxris loltrust me it will be done and I will post up the dyno sheet numbers and 1/4 mile numbers for everyone to see. BTW I ddnt read all 23 pages that shit was just too long and I don't have the patience to read all that

It's mostly a comment on the quality of your research, it's very similar to the research xris did which led him to conclude a ca was a better engine than an SR.

ca greater than sr I think not Ka better than sr I would say in most instances yes the disadvantge the ka has against the sr is that stock it would never surpass the sr I don't want anybody to think that I hate the sr that is not the case I love the sr and you can make real good poer off of the sr(which nobody does they just drop the motor in and call it a day) And since everybody in vegas thinks the sr is the ultimate motor I want to prove them wrong that's all

that doesn't make a lot of sense though. comparing a stock sr to a full tune KA isn't comparing apples with apples.

yeah, the KA will make more power sure, you'd expect the worked engine to 9 times out of 10. work an SR with the same sort of gear you're going to chuck at the KA and see how much more power you'll make.

I DO understand what you're trying to achieve, but realistically, you're doing the automotive equivalent of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I can just see the coppers now...

"So, you like to drag do ya!
Lets see the feet on those blokes you've got up front... yeah, typical, bald tread on the right sandal and this one's got a defective head."
"It's not defective, it's imported, they look like that"
"Import eh"
"....yeah, they're New Zealanders"
"Probably explains why you're doing 10km/h, sideways in a 5km/h zone then does it!"
"Not my fault, there was sheep in the paddock and they just pulled to the left!"
"Well you're the one with the whip, can't whip properly, shouldn't be on the road!"

I totally disagree if you bulid them the same I think the KA would surpass the sr but this is my personal opinion

all the KA has over the SR is capacity, which when you take the rest of the engine's design into account just means that it has more low down torque than an SR.
the KA's head is inferior, and it's rev limit is lower. how can you make more power if you rev slower, and can't flow as much air through the engine?

I reckon we should just let 85turbo_s12 build his KA truck engine, and with a bit of luck it might just turn out as interesting as xris's CA saga =)
