Have you been to one before? I've heard this isn't the first one.

Its not, just a couple of weeks ago this played at Sydney Town Hall
http://www.eminenceonline.com/anif07/anifpopup.html

It was quite excellent, the pipe organ in Town Hall is magnificant.

I expect the Sydney Opera House one will be great too. Looks like a bigger event.

It's not that cheap which is why i'm trying to work out if it's worth it. 2.5 hours is pretty good though.

If you're into clasical music, then you will love it, if you're going just because its about computer games, then you may not appreciate it so much.

The Eminence concert I went to a few weeks ago, was really quite fantastic - however some of the games were very Japanese orientated and even obscure to me (self proclaimed game nutter).

They had the japanese composers in Sydney also, and they spoke before each piece telling the audience about their experience writing music for computer games. They spoke in partial japanese with a translator, but sometimes switched to english. Were very entertaining. For some of them, it was the first time they had heard their music played by a full orchestra.

Any live show at the opera house is nearly always an amazing experience.
