You spelt the Steyne right. There are a few other bad ones, but also some good ones.

Most of the fights are at the cab ranks at the end of the night.

Edit: And yeah , there's LOTS of backpackers in Manly...

Yeah Manly can get quite rowdy at times, always love it when someone tries to attack a Steyne bouncer :P that makes for some interesting entertainment.

Police have been quite active in the area lately... seems to be making a bit of a difference.

I reckon the Brighton bouncers are worse they love to nudge people down those upper stairs if it suites them

There are certainly a lot of Eminem-type figures round the Corso late at night.

As for the surf, out at Bower, localism is welcomed! :)

are there any good places to go out to in manly?
I've only recently started going out more cos i was usually always on cruises, and drinking and driving is a no no!
I only go to the base bar occasionally on friday night, otherwise its dragonfly in the cross.

What are you looking for? Clubbing, drinking, socialising?

Will & Toby's is awesome for a coctail, before you move on to something bigger. They even have a $50 Long Island Ice Tea! :o

There's also the Beach Club which is only a few months old. That's got three levels and is really good. There's also the old Aqua longe which has re-opened. Can't remember the new name though - I was there a couple of weeks ago after being at a wedding. I can hardly remember the night let alone the name of that place!

I've had to leg it a few times in manly, not the greatest place to be at night, never has been. At least most of the people causing trouble are moreso looking for a punch-up, rather than cutting you up. :)

Why dont u guys go to newport arms. Great scenery, large plasma tv, heaps of dinning area, restaurant, drinking area, pub, drive in buy through and etc etc. They have the works and u get to c the stars at night too!!!!!! Which other place can do that? But downside it is in the middle of nowhere and fucken hard to get back home if u dont drive............
