I preordered mine from ToysRus a while ago. They called me today to ask if I wanted to come and pick it up at midnight on the 6th. I said yes of course. Getting NFS:Carbon for free with it

Hopefully I will be able to get Zelda and a second controller too

I'm excited

nah i wanna get a PS3 before i get that. but they are all overpriced at first release. ill wait probably 6-12 months after its released before i get one

but from the reviews they arent going to be too bad a machine. not bad for a nintendo anyway

I thought they were about the $399 mark. That may be after leaving a $200 deposit though.

If it is $399 I bet they really slug you on games (i reckon the $120+ mark)

$399 no regardless of whether you leave a deposit or not.
Games will be around the $100 mark (just like PS3 and suXBox360).

I'm getting the Wii because it will play all my old gamecube games, the controller is going to allow for some awesome new games, and the ability to download classic nintendo games

I doubt any of the consoles will drop much in price (if at all) in the first 6 months though. More like a year I reckon, but I could be wrong

for $50 u get $20 off tony hawks when it comes out, u get this weird "wii bag" no really its just a bag!!
the console is still $399 no matter where u go and i cant do much about that. theres a thing we're doing "wii bundle" u get a extra 'num-chuk' controller (that that IR system one) for 59.95 and with an xtra $10 u get 8 mini-games designed for the controller too!



the ps3 (omfg....god no) is march 07' atm its 1k, but i think theres a 80gb and a 20gb? (829 for 20gb i think :\ but i doubt ill check it out) and atm, theres alot more titles that will become able to buy in march PLUS ur PS2+PSX/PSOne will both still work.


in my opinion... xbox360 it + wii = ps3 .... lol (costs the same too!!)
ps3 controllers are like 120 atm maybe go to 100 in march, ill know more in the near future...damn...abra is right...im a freakin nerd

games are around 89.95-99.95 mark for the mo' well zelda and nfs:carbon are gonna be that at eb games

youre also quoting prices for a console that has been out for 6 months, and a new 'console' to get the price of a PS3. of course the PS3 will drop in price, just like the XB360 did and is still doing

the ps3 was released in usa now, they (doing the conversion) were like 800$ so maybe we'll see something similar..

games prices are gonna be the same as the 360 is/was when released.

360 will be rock bottom in march when ps3 gets here

the PS3 is also cheaper in the US because they sell more units. thus the price can be lower. out here when we have the population of california only, this is why our price is higher. so again, you cant compare it to the US or Japan

im importing a ps3 (with an american tv lol) and that + 4 games im only paying like 550$ oz for it - bearing in mind i got a good mate over there who helps me i think are like 700$oz normal retail? i cant do the conversion bc im too lazy to use my calculator

i think the us sold like a million units or something...
back to the wii.....

eb games is only buying like 12,000 (nsw alone) which is nowhere near enuff for this xmas+pre-order stock!

Why are you getting a TV as well you do know that just about every TV made in the last 10 years works with NTSC as well as PAL.
