Bluddy hell, I was called about half an hour ago by some people from India or there abouts who said I've won some holiday or something. Asking me how much money I earn and how many kids I have and what not. I'm not very with it at the moment either.

So somehow I've got an appointment on thursday at 4pm somewhere and I "have to go". They've called back about 5 times 'cause I keep hanging up on them. Everytime I pick up the phone now I get, "it seems as though the line was disconnected", fuck yeah that was me bitch get out of my phone.

What's the deal with this, are they trying to hack my phone line or something? Has anyone else been getting these calls?

is this related to that scam where you're supposed to call them back on one of those 1900 numbers that costs an arm and a leg?

I don't know if this is related, but this is the email i received regarding the phone scam -
Quote:
Mobile phone scam

To all mobile phone users:
If you receive a phone call or a missed call on your mobile from any
of the numbers listed below. DO NOT ANSWER OR RETURN THE CALL. This is a scam for a competition whereby the caller is charged $100 for the call.

Neil Mitchell from 3AW (1278) radio in Melbourne was caught out when
he returned the call. A similar warning has been included in an
internal newsletter to Optus staff.

The Telecommunications Unit from Corporate Solutions Queensland
(CSQ) have contacted Optus and they have confirmed that this is in fact
true and is happening to people.

The list of phone numbers to be cautious of are:

(02) 8219 0500
(02) 8303 8320
(02) 8303 8321

Just going through my call history on my mobile and I have a missed call from 024042216. It went dead before I answered it, I have had that happen a few times over the last couple of months. Good thing I didn't ring them back. I was kind of curious why they would hang up as you answer.

perhaps they planned his route and cornered him on the train... they used to do that to me all the time
