I don't wanna sound too ricey but I'll be getting a new BOV for my S15 cos it's fairly stock, and i'll need to get a better one anyway. So i thought that i might as well get the one that sounds good.

Does anyone know which BOV sounds like it's bouncing slowly (not fluttering)? I'm looking for the one which sounds like the Yellow S14 in the Best Motoring 6 (350Z at the front) video.

Does anyone know which one they use? I believe it's plumb back, but why does it valve opens/closes slowly(hence that sound) ?

Thanks very much!

Brian

For an S15 most owners use the GFB Hybrid, 1/2 atmo 1/2 plumb back, or you can spend the extra bit and get the stealth, where you can turn a knob and go from 100% plumb back to 100% atmo.
Not too sure what you mean by the slow bounce thing, but you either have flutter or a pchssst, and the different brand BOV's will give you the different pchssst sound becasue of the different designs in the valves and trumpets.
IMO go the GFB Hybrid.

That wasn't an external waste gate.....it was running the standard turbo!!! An external waste gate will only open up as the car is approaching full boost, and this car was getting the flutter as the driver was getting off the gas.

Not sure what blow off valve it was though

DOLPHIN BOV!!!!! Woob woob woob woob whoob! oooh yeah... Orido has one on his supra, (in the best motoring track battle between Orido, K Tsuchiya (white s15), uhhhh Kawasaki (in a 34gtr) and some FD) I dunno man, but it sounds like a dolphin, dunno how it works.. How does a "dual-stage" BOV work?

Is it the BOV making that sound, or is it just the way it flutters with big turbo, intercooler etc..?
