i think the blue tinge tends to come from 4200 up to about 6700K... if your up to the 8000 range, they tend to be quite bright white/purplish rather than blue... and yeh, not sure on the legality of them, wouldnt want to spend $600 + on your head lights and keep having to pay defect notices ontop of that ...

I see, I have also developed a disliking to 4wd headlights, some of them seem to be stuck between high beam and low beam.

Are they like that, too bright for other drivers?

Nuh, becasue they are projector style, they dont point high enough to blind you.
The 4WD ones tend to get in you eyes becasue they sit much higher then normal cars.

How does the auto levelling work in these 'legal' cars ? tilt activated motors ?? ...and the cleaning part ? Can somebody post more info please ?

I have ordered this HID kit and am getting them in a week or two.



Anybody had any experience with KDG burners ? I'm getting the 6,500k for around au$500. They probably are not the best brand but the price is right.

As some one else said,complience want you to have headlight spray nozzles for cleaning, As for auto leveling ?????? i dont know,

but as more people start getting HID's as aftermarket it will probarbly be more easy to get defected as the cops catch on.

By the way I have read somthing about a special unit the RTA or cops have made up to catch illegal modified cars now. Anyone got more info.

How much does a good HID kit cost?

RRP goes from $1200-1600.
Red Series 3 can get the ones that I have for a lot less.

i know this is an old thread but if anyone's still interested in buying some, pls check the parts section as i can get good prices on full HID Xenon kits (as long as we have 5 or more)
