Hi All,

My left headlight bulb stopped working. I purchased the most expensive Xeon White/Blue HID Style lights from Unique Auto Sports in NSW about 8 months ago for about $80. Others were like $50. I hoped it would last longer.

Need to replace it with a new pair - any suggestions on where to get some good white/blue style headlights for my s15 at a good price in Sydney?

Thanks!
Payam

phillips make a good bulb, actually they make good bulbs full stop :)

those expensive ones that claim to be HID and/or Xenon are not so. they basically have a blue coat of paint on them to make the colour temperature change.

just go to any automotive shop and get a pair of nice globes

Hi,
Thanks mate but i hate that orange glow most lights have. I prefer the white ones. I know some1 @ Phillips in North Ryde actually..i'll give him a call. Did not know they sold car light bulbs.

just get some narva/phillips +50 style globes... they are a whiter light.

and they are whiter because they throw the beam further, not because they are riced up to look white/blue...

I picked up some White/Xeon Blue lights fro Autojoy @ Castle Hill Towers last night...they gave me H7 bulbs, they did not fit! I have to take them back on Saturday and put up with the Xmas crowds again. Bah!!

Anybody know the size (e.g H5?) that the S15 bulbs are (not parkers or high beams, the normal driving lights).

Thanks!
Payam

Hi,

The bulbs in S15 are H1LL!
High beam 60W, low beam 55W.

Payam, why don't you get a HID kit installed for about $1k?
They are so bright, that the people in front of you will think that the UFO is coming! HaHa!

Cheers! 8)

im getting HIDs :)

a mate of mine can get the ballasts cheap and all ill need is burners with the H1 conversion

they would look better with the proper HID lenses for an S15, but they are very rare. i should have ripped off s15silvia's ones before he sold the car lol

Hi payam,

yeah the S15 uses H1, you can ones around $50 try out that SRS place on sussex street the quality is quite good. Don't get the narva (Osram) ones, they don't look white at all if you put them side by side. I am currently using Phillips diamond vision...quite expensive but, you can get them at autobarn

and oh yeah, any coated ones will burn a lot faster than originals..

Yeah i was gonna buy philips diamond vision, around 60 bux i think but they didnt have any so i bought the white philips ones and they rox. More than twice as good as my old bulbs.

Im sure we all know this, but don't touch the actual glass on the bulb when installing. They will blow

btw mine were from autobarn as well. good advice in there :)
