A while ago we had a discusion about car security and how alarms are not really theft proof.
A few ppl suggested about bolting a chain around their diff and then bolting ot the ground, while this may be effective, it's not very practical.
The new fast 4's mag has an ad for POST LOCK. check it here www.postlock.com
Looks good, I wonder how much??

Whoa! I was actually thinking about a design very similar to this myself!

Basically was going to concrete a 8" diameter steel pipe into the ground, then a slightly smaller pole into that with a pin and padlock through both.

Sounds almost the same eh?

...Bah, who wants a stock Qs.

no matter what you do if they want it bad enough they will take it
a friend had his harley stolen from his garage it had a shit load of custom stuff done to it, they went to the club one night leaving 3 cars parked in front of the garage they pushed the cars up a steep driveway, shut the dog up some how disabled the alarm on the garage, disabled the alarm on the bike and cut thruogh a 20mm chain and put everything back in place so nothing looked out of place it wasnt to the next morning when he went to go for a ride he discovered missing.
so if they will go to that extent they will get around a postlock to take your pride and joy

that's why you should have a dodgy looking car that people won't expect to be worth any money :)

Securepost make some good ones too.

They designed some that looked like park benchs, and designed to bend into the bottom of the car to stop them reversing back off.

Very Clever.

I saw a 180 with a wheel clamp at carlingford shops yesterday??
