depends on what car you have. all the SR models have them in different spots

S13s are down near the IC. S14 i dunno lol. S15 they are on the drivers side near the throttle body

if i recall correctly its on the passenger side, so you will need to remove the inner guard lining to get to it. When you remove it just plug up the hose that it was connected to.

yep on the passenger side remove the plastic guard. There will be 3 pipes that are connected to the BOV. get the value out and block the 3 hoses (1 small and 2 large hoses). My friend used Coke bottle lids to block the the larger hoses and a screw for d smaller 1, just a suggestion
:D

hey guys

yeah i know that i can block of the lines i have already done this, but the actual PHYSICAL removal of the bov, has anyone performed it?

I have heard numerous times that removing the unit gives a louder sound, so I want to try it.

If you have blocked up all the hoses then the BOV shouldn't be working. You should be getting a fluttering sound which is air being chopped up by the turbo which is not good. If you actual remove the BOV the same thing will happen

If you want the stock BOV to be louder you only need to block off one of the hoses (the one that plumbs the air back 2 the sytem). So when the BOV goes off it will blow the air into the atmosphere instead of through the hose that goes back to the system. So it should be louder. But i'm not actual sure how much louder

Thats the only way i c to make the stock BOV louder
Unless theres another way ?

yeah that will be louder. but that will make your car run crap, and if it leaks, it could stall at idle. if you want BOV sound, just get a new one. if you want the chop chop sound. just block it all off!!

hey guys

I have a aftermarket BOV so i dont actually want noise coming from the stock bov, I heard that removing the stock bov would give increased noise.

I already get the flutter and stuff, not TO loud tho, but i guess im not hearing it from outside the car.

thanks

Yeah it will make it run like crap.

Popping out the exhaust and a fluffy idle.

However some cars you can do this and it is fine?

Maybe spring tension?
