Post subject:  HELP!!! standard exhaust and intercooler
hi everybody. i need some realatively urgent help.

you see what my problem is you see is that i have to go and get my car (s14a) sound tested due to apparent noise pollution. so what i have is a letter from the department of environment climate change (DECCW) so iv been and visited my local mechanic that is dealing with the matter.
basically what im getting at is if anyone could help me by allowing me to borrow (or rent) a standard s14 exhaust for a couple of weeks.
But wait theres more:
also during the inspection i have been notified that if i do not put on the factory intercooler i will have to go and make an appointment with the RTA in botany to also get my car emissions tested (which i think will be very difficult to pass just because it's an sr20det)

so in short i need:
standard cooler
standard cat-back exhaust (or catalyct converter minimum)

any help will be very much appreciated.... thank you :)

Their rules may have changed since I got slapped with my notice from the DECC, but as far as I know there's only one mechanic that's approved by them in the 'gong area that you can visit to get this cleared (that could be the one your going to) and I'm pretty sure they do an emissions test at the same time they do the sound test irregardless of if you have the factory IC or not.

But it could of changed since last year.

yes i whent to that approved mechanic. and those words came straight ot of his mouth on what i have to do and what happens if i dont have the standard cooler......

im still in need of s standard cooler and exhaust. is there anybody out there that can help me out? i only need the parts for less than a week....
