no they need to have auto-levellers and washers to be legal (washers maybe not, but levellers yes)

but most people just put them in anyway.

lol how would a cop know the colour temperature of the lights??

seriously, its mostly auto levelling, and washers. its the dirt on the glass that makes them 'glarey' and hard to look at.

afterthought.. i think one of those things that either cops know very little about or is really hard to prove.. so pretty much saying that they are the legal limit will get you off most times.. but thats just my 2 cents worth

Scotty..

i would assume so... because 8k is only for race use not street legal because its too bright with the colour contrast and all... its really bad when your infront of someone with 6k and over lights its like being high beamed all the time

acutally that 'hi-beaming' effect is because the lenses are dirty or the beam is set too high. colour temperature doesnt affect that. 8000k is purple and will have shit all visibility. but it will look cool so get them anyway

All Aftermarket HIDS are illegal!! That is you will get a defect..

Like someone mentioned, you need auto-levelling.

That being said, everyone has them.. Will be a matter of time before they start the crack down..

Till then just get some 6000k and enjoy!!

Plus the actual headlight unit it self is not designed for HIDs..

You would need a proper retrofit of your headlights to make it look proper, which wont blind oncoming traffic etc..
