NOTE : S13, S14 & S15 pods available for purchase, see http://www.mearcat.com.au or contact JustSR.com

I recently made a one-off fibreglass dash mounted single gauge pod for my R33 Skyline and ended up doing a small batch of them for the guys on the Skylines Australia forum due to demand to fabricate more.

One of my mates asked me to make one for his 180SX and have finished it last weekend (see pic below). He suggested posting here to see if anyone else is interested.

This pod will fit a gauges size up to 60mm and depth of 35mm (such as Apexi/Defi mechnical & electric). It may not fit Autometer boost gauges which I think are ~45mm-50mm deep.

See http://www.mearcat.com.au for some pics of the many pod designs done so far.

I am willing to do a small batch of these pods for any S13, S14, S15 drivers as well - if there is enough interest. Based on the R33 gauge pods I did, the price will end up being ~$75 with each pod being pre-painted in matt black. I need about 10 people interested to make it viable.

PM or email me if you are interested.

-Alan

P.S. - Please excuse me being a newb to these forums, I have been a member on Skylines AUstralia for a few years now and done many successful trades with members there over that time.

I have finished the design for the S14 - both single AND double pod. See pics at http://www.mearcat.com.au . For those who are worried about obscuring vision, the double gauge pod does not obstruct forward vision very much at all. You can see over it without an issue.

These pods pictured are one-off items I've made and if anyone is interested in getting on of these, I'll need about 8 people interested (with deposit paid) in each type to get a small batch made.

S15 designs will be coming soon...

-Alan

Update : As per S14, an S15 has been found and a single & double gauge pod prototype done. Pics will be uploaded to my webspace (see link in above post) soon.

I am trying to find anyone with an R34 coupe. If you have one or know of someone who owns one, I would love to hear from you.

Many apologies to anyone who has been waiting for these pods to be finished. I shipped a box of pod prototypes for the Stagea, Skyline & Silvia/200SX to the fibreglass fabricator at the beginning of January. Unfortunately, the box with all the pods has gone AWOL. Thanks to some misinformation by Australia Post, tracking is not actually available even though I paid for it! So hopefully the pods will turn up soon (or get returned to me) and fabrication can begin.

The box has been located and the fabrication of S14 & S15 pods should begin within a month (depending on available funds).

Can you make something similar to this style for an S14a please?

Image

Even if it is 2 pieces (as the vents are seperate rather than one big one), thats cool too.

If there is no market for this I'll try and whip something up as I would really like my guages to be there (and I hardely use those vents anyway)

Thanks
Theo

I made up a panel similar to that for the goblin years ago,it's pretty easy to get working.

I moved the a/c controls down to the bottom DIN slot, fitted the cd player in above it,and used the top position below the vents for a 3x52mm gauge panel. the lower stereo din slot needs to be filed out by ~10mm to fit the a/c panel in,but the end result is very neat, and the gauges are easily spotted, and you retain your vents...
