Has anyone here installed these on their S15 yet? I'm lookin at gettin the boost gauge and wanted to know is it possible to place them in the airvents? as i've seen them done, but havent seen pictures of defi gauges in there.

Looks hot, but why you'd want to get rid of the air-con vents in a car that has to go through an Australian summer is beyond me. Unless you hardly drive it.

agreed. keep at least ONE vent for it's original purpose.

I have three defi's in my wagon. all three are up on top of the dash atm,but once the fibreglass pods for them arrive,I'll have two in the centre of the dash where the std clock goes, and one at the base of the pillar.

The katemobiles' aircon still does its purpose perfectly well with the middle vents blocked. It doesnt take long to chill the car to the desired temp.

I drove from gosford to the southern highlands in stupidly hot weather, and actually didnt even notice that the middle vents were blocked.

I suppose its one of those things that THEORETICALLY its a bad idea, but in practice its a completely different story.

If I had an S15, id do it.

could be an individual thing too. some people like having a bit of air flowing over them, not just sitting in a cool room.

with the centre vents blocked, your outer ones in the doors will be working pretty hard,as they'll get all the air flow. if you like having all the air coming from there,or most from there, and some on your feet, that's fine then.
I personally like having a bit of air directed towards my face.

I knew you'd say something with that one. I couldn't think of a better wording for the sentence. one that couldn't have some form of gutter humour attached to it anyway...

I'll be defi-ing the left middle vent and the right middle vent with and oil & water temp gauge, currently i've only got boost on a trimmed JDM a-pillar.

This way I get middle and side air flow. Hehe, I've actually been practising by closing off the left and right middle airvents and it doesn't go too bad!
