There are some gearknobs that have a thicker thread on the bottom and thinner up higher in the knob. Perhaps you had one of those (or a slip on type) Yeh I had the Nismo one...

i found a bit of extra $$ so decided to get a nismo titanium gearknob off ebay. wasn't too much AU$155 including shipping from the US with a decent exchange rate. i was using a cheap razo knockoff before that. looked alright (kinda like the daytona 1 arcade game gearknobs). was pretty top heavy and made of stainless steel.. the nismo gearknob is fairly light compared to the stainless steel one, but about the same weight as the stock s15 gearknob. has a very nice balanced feel to it, shifting is sweet! i can do lightning quick shifts with it and it feels like it'll be hard to miss a gear. it makes it nice and direct

i went nismo duracon, and switched back the same night to the stock one i guess im just used to the stocker! |
