Hi all,

I'm after a new gearknob for my s15. Just wondering what everyone else has in their cars. Pictures or links to shops that sell them would be appreciated.

I was after one of the long nismo cylinder ones but am told it won't fit an s15 (6speed) due to the thread being 12mm rather than 10mm.

Cheers!

skyline specific knobs will fit on. you can't use an S13 or S14 knob.

thanks for the linkage. I was after one of the aluminium ones but they don't seem to fit on a s15. I guess I could go for one of the titanium ones, but at $250.. ouch. i might have to give it a skip for now.

I actually had one of the duracon ones (in black) but didn't like the feel of it as it was too light.

the ones with the plastic inserts will fit, just takes a bit of force to screw the rubber onto the gearstick.

heya fellas. hows it? .. my first post

my friend took this off a truck gear stick. the truck was imported from japan and he gave it to me as a joke to put in my car

i put it in my s15 to try it.. personally i think it looks silly. but driving with it was quite a novel experience. and kinda fun..

its so high up it takes longer to shift, but puts your hand closer to teh steering wheel when i park my car i unscrew it and put the original one back on.. lol dont want anyone seeing it .. my gf reckons it looks like a massive screw driver handle.. i changed it back to original one now. but i had the silly one on for 3 days..

those nismo ones cost a stack just for a knob.. and ive seen them in a skyline and it looks too small.. so i didnt end up deciding to get one

i wanna replacement gearknob too but dunno which one to get either.

here are the pics of the knob..

If that screwed onto an S14 shifter I'd happily take it off your hands.

Do you know what truck it's off? I might have to go to a wrecker to look for one too!

it was off a random front cut of a truck. they have all sorts or cool things inside when he imports them over. like flares and fire extinguishers, tv monitors, clear plastic seat covers.. those japos got all the cool stuff..

but i dont think the knob was a stock knob for the truck. some after market bizo

does anyone have anyknob they can recommend?

Then you had a freak car

There are some gearknobs that have a thicker thread on the bottom and thinner up higher in the knob. Perhaps you had one of those (or a slip on type)
