Wow this thread would of been dead for almost a year if you didn't bring it back up :o ...since then I've learnt that timers are rice and insurance don't like em.....

I got mine installed for $250 at Atec Electronics in Lansvale (Sydney). Yes they are rice but I still love it ehhehee.

id much rather have the timer do all the work for me....rather than having to leave the engine on for awhile everytime i stop somewhere...

how is having a device that allows the engine oil and turbo to cool down and prevent internal turbo damage considered rice?

all the same i can get em for $150 if anyone is interested....

Not really illegal if installed correctly with ADR's. They are legal if fitted in conjunction with a park brake and netrual switch or the park netrural switch on an auto. Its a big no no to wire them up so the engine can run in gear also pretty stupid if you ask me.
And my insurance is okay as long as the alarm is armed even when the timer is counting down.

most alarms have a 45 sec delay anyway, u can set it up so that the times overlap so that the timmer switches off as the alarm is fully armed...
