After buying 2 gtr bovs I decided to try and clean one up as it didnt matter if i screwed it up, I only use one. Using various grades of sandpaper, and then spraying the top matt black it came up very nice.

heres a pic. you can see what it used to look like.

nah no compound, just sandpaper, up close its not heaps smooth, its got a 'brushed stainless' look.

btw, anyone know where to get strong polishing compound? not regular metal polish like autosol...

ahh my threads been hi-jacked. lol

For the bov, I took it all back with 120 i think it was, then used about 400 and 600 to finish it, i had 1200 too but it did bugger all, probably would have polished up nicely with 1200 but lots of effort..

Nah dont wanna sell the other bov.

Put a wanted add on a skyline forum, I paid $100 for both with the GTR plumbing. So theyre fairly cheap.
