when i was 14 i spent about $500 all up on those lil tamiya cars that ran on 2aa batteries i had the 2nd fastest in china town, but then this guy put his import one on the track with parts i had never seen before and not only did it kill me but it didnt flip off the track.

well the modification bug has hit me good, today i brought those greenish white headlamp lights, im getting white windscreenwiper blades to match my white paintjob and also ordered nismo shoulder pads,
now i wanna color code all the lights on the car to either whitish blue or whitish green, this is including the 3 lights in the cabin of the car, and the 2 lil ones underneath the headlamp on my latemodel 180sx

i dunno what im gonna do with the back lights, def not clearys, dunno if tints will suit, but i might cover them up so only the round circles are showing and it will look like an r32 during the day aswell.
but thats not all folks, stage one tunning has gotta be done by middle of next year :))))

how much does stage one tuning cost and what does it consist of?

if your planning to tint the rear tailies then the flat ones look better than the buldged up ones. therefore if you want to do that then i'm willing to swap ya for the tailies :D hehehehehe... :D :D :D :D :D

if not then the R32 idea is not bad either. I would custom a fibreglass to fit to the rear so it looks beeter than just painting it. Plus you can remove it when you want to, unlike paint.

WHAT IS STAGE 1 TUNING.
CAN THE SR20DET be tunned without an aftermarket computer :D

If you have a daughterboard of some kind it can be re programmed.

Unigroup can do it for a few hundred I think, including the board.

My car will soon have identical mods, I figured it this way:

Stock car rw kw: ~110 (if in decent nick)

Full exhaust: mid 120s

front mount and boost: ~140kw

daughterboard tune: ~155kw

Just a guess. The daughterboard tune could unlock heaps if they know what they are doing, because it will optimise all of the fuel and ignition for the mods and Australian spec fuel, so it should help with detonation too.

Oh, and i reckon such a modded car would be good for low 13s with a decent launch and clutch to hold the power.

I wish someone like mr QIK180 would run his car at a strip so we can see what ~180rw kw is good for. I reckon high twelves at worst, especially as from my ride I reckon he had excellent traction.

White180sx have you run your car at one of the previous dyno days?

Thought I remember you running 110kw with just a catback exhaust?

I didnt think the d/boards were even useful unless u have bigger afm/injectors etc.
HAs anyone actually put one on a sr20 with the mild mods mentioned (fmic/zorst/boost) and done a before and after dyno run with tuning?
It would be interesting to see if there is that much of a gain.
The only reason I havent bought one is because I thought they were useless with these mods.
