Has anyone had any experience with kits from this bloke, just came accross him on ns.com and the prices are cheap. Now i expect the kits won't be top notch but if they are ok then they will be the best bet for a drifter since they will most likely cop damage/replacement at some point in the future.

I bought two of his front bars because he was the only guy who had trueno bumpers in the country already.
let me put it this way.....they'll do until I can find something better.
I wouldn't recommend them for drifting unless you're at top level already and rarely hit anything. one of my 2 bars cracked in the back of the van on the way home from the shop.

LOL fergo.. thats dodgey.. my mate got a full vtx for his 180 and apparently it required heaps of cutting and refibreglassing to fill up massive gaps and for it to fit nicely. i would get a set for $150 but im changing front ends and he doesnt have any s14a the bastard :(

Indeedy, that i expected, how bad is not that good?
Uneven fit? Sagging, big panel gaps? Adjustment nessessary just to make them fit?
Given that a kit on a drift car will most likely take some punishment and repair good fit might be a moot point after a year or two.
Unless it's truely awfull that is

bring ur car to their workshop and trial fit it in (without drilling holes of course) and see if theres any gaps at all. some of his kits are less gappy then others so its pretty much a gamble to which you will get.

I'm from newy so not overly keen to drive all the way down just for a trial, however would be an idea to trial the one i buy should i decide to buy.

AE86's don't need particularly good fitting panels to look decent,as the way the bars fit up is pretty basic, and can hide a lot of imperfection in the part.

having said that,I'm still not sure after spending about half an hour trimming the bar so it would even slide onto the std brackets on the chassis rails if it will line up with the guards or not.

you will have to drill all the mounting holes yourself, you will most likely have to trim the bar in places to get it to line up,and I'm positive that on an S13 you'll be sanding and filing down the corners where it meets the guards to get those to sit in nicely.

as blistc said,you do get what you pay for. I didn't pay much,so I didn't expect much,and I didn't get much.
