Hey guys,

Anyone living in the Newcastle region may be able to help me with this question.

i need to upgrade my ecu some time soon and i want to know what sort of computer i can get tuned in the newcastle region, because tuning places only do certain brands and types correct?

i sorta had my mind set on an apexi power fc but ive heard they are expensive to get tuned?

buy a power FC and make the trip to sydney to get it tunned

is it true that power fc's can cost like $800 to get tuned?

They can be expensive but normal costs are around the $500 mark.

Really depends who you use as well. Remember you get what you pay for

PFC plus install and tune around the $1500-$1600 mark.
It is the best for the price and its capabilities. Much R & D has gone into both the software and tuning.
Bring it down to Sydney and get it done properly. CRD or Unigroup.

Yo Joelman,

im from newcastle aswell and I have asked a few of my buddies the same question, the answers i got was

"not many places tune power fc in newcastle, but a few of them tune Microtech"

I think it depends what car you drive so that choosing a computer and thinking bout whether its worth making the drive to sydney or not is the question

i wouldnt be able to tell u specifics of which place does it as i havent quite got to the tuning ecu stage yet.

I drive a yellow S15 btw

hey, driving to syd doesnt really bother me, as once its tuned it will be a fair while before it will need to be done again.

btw dipnlo have you got a carbon fibre bonnet on ya s15, I often see one driving along industrial drive in town

What price you seen the apexi power fc go for ? The average price seems to be 1500 with hand controller.I have also seen them on ebay for 1100.Any one seen them cheaper and where to get them from ?
