that would be rather hard to get down smoothly without bubbles id imagine :o

If you just paint your bonnet black, you are a wang. Bonnets should only be black if they are carbon fibre. (unless you have a black car, of course! :P )

The only exception is Mark Watlings' R31 Skyline budget drifter - he has a matt black bonnet on a fuckoffbright white car. It is awesome!

I think EITHER full yellow (roof+bonnet included), OR black roof with carbon fibre bonnet. Not getting a cf bonnet? go 100% yellow.

The mirrors should be black no matter what :wink: pillars should be the colour of the roof.

Hey BT, any idea why 'our' 180 has black A pillars? That your doing? I didnt really notice it til i parked next to my mates champagne CA 180 a week after i got it.
Just to make it easier to make the roof 100% black, eh? (i can get it done for free on thursday :P )

hmm black roof on champagne?

I'm pretty sure they came like that from the factory, it wasn't my doing. I've seen quite a few others with it.

Get the black roof for sure. I always wanted to do that. It would look perfect with the dark tint too. 8)

hence why i asked if i should just put it back to "factory spec"

yep, they should have made the roof black too, since with no colour matched pillars it always looks a bit out of place.

oh okay.. so my mates 180 would have been resprayed? i noticed his door handles looked like they had been resprayed. It looks alot nicer with the A pillars matching the colour of the roof.

It could have been that either the black or the coloured was standard and the other was an option, maybe.
