like the S13 and S15 modules. you cant just plug them in and expect them to work.

there are a whole load of sensors also. might be best if you can get your hands on a JDM workshop manual for an S14. it will have all the wiring information you need. some sensors MIGHT be interchangable between models.

did u get some loom with it? or just the module?

you COULD be stuffed. but with some searching you might be able to get the parts you need

OR just try plugging it in. it may be that easy

be interested to see how this goes...

to do it properly from what i understand, you need a couple of sensors, the control module, a segment of the behind dash loom...

it may work in fan over-ride mode without the sensors, but the automode wont be working...

The issue isnt bolting the unit in, the issue is you are missing the section of the loom that runs this, and both the sensors that feed it information.

I know of an S15 owner that did this conversion. He sourced the loom, the control unit, and the sensors from a JDM car, cost him a fair bit. From memory, they then traced out all the aircon wires on the loom he got, and spliced in new wires in the corresponding locations. Took him and a mate an entire weekend, and from memory he was an electrical engineer. You dont want to be paying someone an hourly rate for that sort of effort.

Have you had a look at the back of your existing unit / can you post a picture of the back of this digital unit? Whilst I am pretty sure its going to be impossible to get the auto/climate control working, it may be possible to use the digital controls to drive the fan/temperature slider if the plugs are compatible/similar...

you've done your cash I'm afraid. it won't work. as has been said, you need a lot more than just the head unit. you need the sun load sensor, cabin temp sensor, the motors to control the recirc and heater switches, the loom and other miscellaneous bits.

I suggest you advertise it on ebay yourself and offload it.
