...Auto Salon magazine, issue #6?

Supposedly it has a reasonable DIY pillar mount article in it...

Would someone be willing to scan this article for me?

Alternatively, anyone found any decent DIY guides to making your own pillar mounts?

(yes i know they are cheap as chips to buy, but the pre-made ones dont suit what I am trying to do)

Just wondering, are there any rules/legality issues for having pillar mounted gauges?
Isn't it illegal to have it above the dash or something? Especially it's very visible when the cops look into the car :-?
Thanks...

I've always been told that it's legal to have objects mounted to the a-pillar as long it is below hte height of the steering wheel at it's most upright position. Having said that my mate was told by a copper last night that it's now legal to mount anywhere on the right side of the steering column regardless of height

Dunno about that...

Lower than steering wheels uppermost position, and further from the driver than the leading edge of the dash is what i have always worked off...

S, i take it no-one has the article?

My two guages mounted on the A pillar are legal and engineered, as long as the engineer deems them to not be obstructing your vision it doesn't matter how high they are mounted is what i was told. Prior to that i thought they had to be below steering wheel height. Mine are both below steering wheel height anyways cos that keeps them out of any lines of site i have.
