I think they cost about $450 new, last I looked and you have to get the reflective crap on the windscreen- not sure what it is but I imagine a square bit of tint would work.

I have HUD display in my car and to replace the windscreen when it broke was toooooo expensive... so I got a standard screen and it works fine

Does this mod aid performance at all haha... seriously never really looked closely at the set-up looks like a cool novelty item though. If i didn't have performance and panel priorities i would think about gettin this done.

Nah, theyre the flashing lights type of critter that runs the speedo and rpm through it I think.

If there was a way of getting a boostgauge to display through it then I'd grab one.

Yea i sort know a dude that got one as a boost guage, for about $400.

So where can you get these HUD's then? New or Second hand?

And what do they wire up to?

HUD -- what for.

for the amount you spend on this thing you might as well put it in some pow-wow.

get enough grunt and you won't need to lookat your speed - you'll just feel it

On high octane video they talk about an electronic boost controller that had a HUD built in for a boost gauge. Was Advan place that has recently opened up an workshop in Sydney.

Maybe someone who is really serious will give them a ring...

At least it won't be full rice as it controls boost too.

When I first posted this thread over a year ago, I was talking about an aftermarket HUD Tacho NOT HUD Speedo.
The HUD Speedo is a factory option for any S13, and there are stacks of them running around.

Boost controller, sounds cool, What are they worth?
