I have some work to do under the car at the moment, I know that some mechanics use these special ramps (portable) to drive up on and then the jack up the vehicle.

Where can I buy one of these ramps from and around how much do they cost? (preferable to spend less $$)

Just be careful, a lot of ramps you will find locally will be too steep for our cars and the front will scrape.

Its a bitch, had to use bricks to get my car on a flatbed truck + scrape the underside of the front bar atleast 3-4 times a week.. ah well, only a copy.. lol

When I was getting my rego check done the mechanic couldnt fit the trolly jack under the car so I had to use the standard jack.

damn its not that freakin low.. *sigh*

ive got some planks of wood with a 45degree ramp.angle cut into them to drive up onto, or i just use the little winding jack that comes with the car.

and anyone who has seen my car knows its pretty low.

here's an interesting question along the same lines, how do you get your car up off the ground if you blow a tyre and can't possibly get anything under it ??

I mean blow a tyre as in put a big hole in it, or would you still be able to get enough pressure to get it up high enough
