Hi,

will JDM Integra Type R DC2 recaro seats fit in a 180sx?

how much modification would there need to be to the rail to get them to fit?

what about if it comes with the brackets?

let us know,

cheers,
mark

Have you got any pics of these seats?

I was about to post a message to ask what import OEM seats people are using, how much and what are the good Sydney shops to go look at them - any suggestions?

There have been heaps for sale of late.
Just do a search on "seats" in the FS section.
Here is just one - http://www.silviansw.com/forum/viewtopi ... ight=seats

The rails that comes with the SR2 for the DC2 would be sittin abit high if ur a tall bloke, plus it would need mods to the mounts..

You can get some super low seat rails to allevaite the problem.

I've got some very beautiful Integra DC2 'Type X' RED buckets, and they will be going in my 180/Silvia. Apparently i need custom mounts for these, which i am trying to do. If i complete this task, i will take photos and post it up.

Oh and you need an engineers report if you change the seat and use mounts other than the standard, plus you must have the height and bracing to their standards. Just what i heard. If i'm wrong someone can correct me.

i had some sr3 recaros for sale on these forums a while back..

came with the sliders. but at the time didn't know anyone to put them in. we had found a place but decided to sell one pair as we had another lying around.. i think it took one or two days to make mounts for the seats and fit them

as with engineers certificates, i'm sure you'd have to get one unless your car came standard with them. or as a factory option (and of course have to be adr compliant). either way i'd see that there would be a fair amount of fiddling around involved to have them fit, unless there is a bracket/mount that recaro had made for our cars.

cheers.
