I ordered an oil catch can a few days ago that arrived today, the original one I ordered was no longer made so I got asked if I wanted the replacement that's pictured below to which I agreed

When i opened the packet it turns out it's actually a radiator overflow bottle, at the time I didn't realise there wasn't a second port in the can and seeing as I agreed to take it I'm just wondering if a second port would be able to be drilled in the lower part so I can run it as an oil catch can?

I think you'll find that the fittings are going to be a lot smaller than your breather hoses.

You could drill and tap another port into it to fit a breather filter. I'd put it at 90deg. to the original fitting if I was mounting the can vertically. If you're putting it on it's side you could take out one of the 'level gauge fittings, block up the other one and use that also.

In your place I'd be trying for a refund again,or just putting the thing on the shelf until I had a use for it and buying an actual catch can.

Thanks for that, I'll shelve it and get an actual one
